May Day 10K

​The May Day 10K is an exhilarating off-road race set on the scenic Adirondack Rail Trail, scheduled for Sunday evening, May 4, 2025, at 6 p.m. This point-to-point event begins at Fowlers Crossing, just outside of Saranac Lake, and concludes at Bike Lake Placid (455 Old Military Rd). Participants have until 8 p.m. to complete the course, culminating in a festive post-race celebration featuring food, drinks, music, and awards.​

In addition to the main event, a stroller and pet-friendly 5K out-and-back race will commence at 6 p.m. from Bike Lake Placid, covering approximately 5 kilometers. This inclusive event welcomes well-behaved dogs on non-retractable leashes, providing a fantastic opportunity for runners to enjoy the trail alongside their furry companions. To ensure safety, children under 13 are not permitted to run with a dog, regardless of leash status. A portion of the proceeds from the 5K9 will benefit the Tri-Lakes Humane Society, supporting local pets in need.
